Besides the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, this grand and modern stadium hosted Athletics and Football during the Games. This Stadium will be the stage for both national and international sporting events, as well as cultural and entertainment activities after the Olympics.

National Aquatics Center, (NAC), nicknamed the "Water Cube", was inaugurated and delivered for use on the morning of January 28, 2008, is another highlight of Olympic Green. The NAC's Games-time construction area is close to 80,000 square meters, containing 17,000 standard seats, including 6,000 permanent seats and 11,000 temporary ones. Qianmen Street --Located at the center of Beijing near Tiananmen Square, Qianmen Street, no more than 2 km long, has been a prosperous area for more than 600 years and has accumulated some long-standing stores. Many well-known Chinese stores started their operations there. The reconstruction project aims to preserve the Qianmen Street's history in its entirety.

Dashanlan is a business street with more than 580 years of history in the Qianmen area. Regarded as the "essence of Beijing," it depicts a vivid and prosperous picture of old Beijing. After reconstruction, this 1.26-km area will retain many buildings and their antique flavor

Wangfujing Street - Wangfujing is now considered the central heart of the city.   The street has two major shopping malls, one is Oriental Plaza, sprawls a further 2 blocks to the east (and another 15 minute walk).  Another is Sun Dong’an Shopping Mall.
